Message from Mount Motor Works Owner / Senior Mechanic
So just as soon as we got up and running, Mount Motor Works had to close down for a month due to the Government’s response to the terrible virus that is Covid-19.
I sincerely hope that everyone out there is doing well and has taken the time in isolation in stride. Hopefully you got a chance to get on top of that job you had been putting off for a long time or found the time to reconnect with friends and family. Even if you didn’t manage to do anything constructive and let the month pass you by that’s fine too because whether you knew it or not you were doing your part to keep others safe.
I have spent the time in isolation by myself and truth be told have gone a little crazy not being able to ride my motorcycle or catch up with my friends. I have, however, discovered a whole bunch of new interests like reading and gardening. I have also rediscovered an old love of riding my bicycle. So I guess there is a silver lining to any situation.
Anyway I just wanted to say that we will be up and running again as soon as the nation has been put into level 3. We will be taking Government requirements for people’s safety very seriously and will be putting in place measures to keep our customers and mechanics safe during these times of uncertainty.
This will include the use of personal protective equipment when entering customer vehicles as well as maintaining a high level of hygiene throughout the workshop and reception area. During level 3 we will also be adhering to social distancing and maintaining a 2 metre physical distance. from others. We will also be keeping a daily log of customers.
We have always been passionate supporters of local Tauranga / Mt Maunganui businesses and likewise appreciate your support of our workshop. We will be taking bookings as soon as we are down to level 3 and look forward to being able to support our fellow kiwis through these trying times.
